Fun NBA 2021 Offseason Trade Ideas

THE DAME SWEEPSTAKES


Philadelphia 76ers 
Trade 1:



This is the most logical one, Ben Simmons is a damaged asset most likely on the move this offseason, and throwing in young stud like Maxey and maybe a couple of picks makes this trade the best option if Portland doesn't want to go full rebuild. 

Trade 2:



This one would require some picks thrown in, but two young players, a really good back-up/ starter-ish point guard in George Hill and Ben Simmons. This would be interesting for both sides and a lot of fun to watch for us. 

LA Lakers 



Now this one is complicated, first Dame would have to demand LA and then a lot of sign-and -trades. LA can throw in a couple 1st rounders and 2nds but this is probably nothing more than a pipe dream. 

NY Knicks:


Now this is a fun one, the garden might break the sound barrier a couple of times if this trade went down. Portland would have to commit to a full rebuild and New York would need to throw in ALOT of draft capital. After seeing the fans in this years playoffs, I can't even begin to comprehend the thought of this actually happening.  

Denver Nuggets:



This is the most realistic Dame trade, if the nuggets don't want to waist any of Jokic's prime and don't have the patience to wait for Murray to rehab his ACL injury this could be perfect for both sides. Portland would get a young center-piece and get to tank for a year, while Denver has probably the best two-headed monster in the league with this duo. 


Lakers Complete the Big 3



This is a perfectly boring trade that helps a rebuilder and a contender all at once. Jerami Grant is made to be a 3rd piece great defender, streaky scorer and relatively cheap. while Detroit would get some pieces that would fit their timeline and some assets you could flip. Lakers would need to throw in at least this years first to truly make sense. 




This trade probably should've happened at the deadline, but lets make it happen now. Lowry fits the time line perfect mostly due to his and LeBron's advanced age. But one thing the Lakers are missing is grit, a ball handler and someone who controls the offense besides LeBron. This would be amazing basketball to watch and this gives LeBron a last shot at a title. 


Now this trade is probably going to happen this offseason, and not because of the twitter following of Westbrooks wife. It just makes too much sense for this not to happen, again the timeline, while also Westbrook doesn't have to be one of the top scoring options, he can just get rebounds and assists. 


Another Lowry Option


The Heat would have a heart attack if this happened, no seriously someone watch Pat riley if this goes through. Lowry and Butler in the backcourt is what South beach craves at this point. 


The Rockets give in to the Rebuild






Obviously for both of these scenarios picks would be involved, but the rockets are getting very young, and talented players back, while also shedding some salary that the new "Billionaire" owner would appreciate. 

Getting Dame Help



The Trailblazers would need to say forget the future and throw in some picks, and this is a team that would be fun. If the Trailblazers could somehow keep Covington with the same incoming players this would be a legit title contender.
